CRAZIES!
February 2, 2015
Well I know a lot of readers would really just prefer to hear how all the Ward kiddos are faring lately, so here is an up-date! I am absolutely the worlds poorest picture taker. I will likely have huge regrets one day about the lack of photos I take, but I refuse to add that guilt to myself right now. Honestly I don't even think about taking pictures hardly ever! So this will be an up-date of words and someday, when I remember to take a picture or two or finagle some from their dad I will publish a photo up-date!
Miss Megan- 9 years and almost 4 months old!
~ 3rd grade and is an EXCELLENT student! Her teacher loves her and she informed me today that she is training to be a library assistant!
~ In her second year of piano and it is one of the only activities she does that she NEVER complains about it. She is exceptionally gifted with her ability to memorize pieces. She had a piano recital a week ago and played I believe 13 memorized songs. She is a very good pianists!
~ Played basketball again this fall/winter. She has a lot of natural athletic talent. Her team was a lot more competitive this year than last. However, she is looking forward eagerly to the time that all the "real" rules are enforced! She, of course, is quite tall for her age, which is a benefit in sports!
~ She continues her love of the outdoors and any activity you can do outside!
~ Is quite the board gamer and extremely competitive. Her game of choice this winter is Monopoly...she adores the fact that her dad has yet to win at this game since we started playing!
~ She is still a great help around the house with daily tasks of everyday life and helping with her younger siblings! She gets herself up, showered, dressed, and makes her own breakfast daily. Such a great blessing!
~ Our firstborn is a great kiddo. She is already starting into the pre-teen phase of moodiness, which is challenging, but she learned the art of meditation in PE recently and practices it regularly! She is funny and always coming up with interesting facts about a variety of topics to educate us on!
James- 3 years and 2 months old!
~ He is a big kid...about the size of your average 5 year old!
~ He is in Joy School with 3 other kids that are also 3. He is an extremely reserved personality around everyone other than his immediate family. However, as the school year has progressed so has his ability to talk and interact with the other kids! It has been fun to see him engage with kids his own age!
~ He is excellent at getting his little sister to smile. She really adores him! He is old enough to understand not to throw toys at her or to push her down, which probably helps in her adoration!
~ Loves to help cook and clean. He can bring the laundry to the laundry room and put it in the washer and even start it! Cleaning out the dishwasher and starting it are also things he enjoys. He torments his sister with his eagerness to help with cleaning bathrooms also...but for his age he is pretty darn skilled in that area also.
~ Loves, loves airplanes, fire trucks, police cars, and tractors!
~ He has a great memory and will not forget!
~ He is extremely detail oriented which is challenging for us as parents, but he is growing and learning daily! He has really matured over the past several months and is able to do a lot more for himself!
~ Hit the big milestone of going to Primary in January. The first week was a little rough, but he has a wonderful teacher and is doing great now! He even volunteered to help in Primary yesterday!
Trey-dog- 21 months old!
~He is our child with Dwarfism! Just a little tyke, but he has a big personality!
~Happy most of the time
~A big talker...he can talk sentences and his words are very clear!
~ Enjoys all of his siblings, but he is a fighter. He picks fights with everyone...but he doesn't so much like it when they fight back!
~ He is known for his "angry eyes!" He makes the best faces, especially when he isn't overly happy, which isn't often, but it does happen on occasion.
~ Is a HUGE eater. He typically eats 3-4 breakfasts a day. I don't know where he puts all of his food consumption, but he eats far more than James!
~In nursery without his big brother now, which is bittersweet. He didn't use to cry when we left him, but now he does!
~ Loves to play with his Tonka truck, airplanes, balls, and read books!
~ Soon to be embarking on the wide world of potty training...he isn't thrilled, but we are sure he will be happy once he realizes he can do it and be big like his siblings!
Cambree-10 months old!
~A very happy baby when her family is with her, not as happy with a babysitter!
~ An excellent sitter...other than that, is showing no further evidence of any type of movement in the near future!
~ Likes her dolls, but prefers trucks, airplanes, cars, and tractors. Obviously she has 2 older brothers!
~ Loves all types of big people food
~ No more nursing for her, but she is doing great with her bottle!
~ Finally after 9 months has started sleeping through the night!
~ Loves to clap and talk loudly! Especially at church!
~ Is a thumb sucker, which is adorable now, but likely won't be in the a few years!
~ Already into technology...grabs at the phone, kindle, and computer and gets a bit frustrated when she can't have them!
As you can imagine we are busy and don't have much "down time!" Our days are long and sometimes are nights are short. We have a loud and very boisterous bunch of kiddos that live here. But my dad always said, "We don't want any dead-heads!" Definitely none of those here. Occasionally I see or hear of kiddos that will sit and be content while their parents do whatever, we don't have any of those! Happy that someone does, but we are on the go and always into something or bothering someone else at this house! We are glad that our kiddos are here and that they are growing, learning, and exploring this wide world that we live in!
